Stepping Into the Vision

Stepping Into The Vision by Peter Williams

I recently had the pleasure of recording a podcast with Jane Musgrave, who has an absolutely sparkling soul; her energy is bubbly and infectious.

Jane recently completed my Inna Powa Accelerator and Achievers program. It's been great to watch her grow, switch on, own, and move toward her vision. She is truly inspirational, and I'm excited to share with you, her journey.

Prior to enrolling in the program, Jane had been at a point in her life where she felt completely lost; life had become a routine of going to work, earning money, returning home, eating, and sleeping. And she asked herself, "Honestly, what am I doing here? Why am I here?" She felt depressed and was in a very dark place in her life.

Jane felt like she was stuck in a rut and needed a fresh start, so she sold everything, left Brisbane, drove down to Melbourne, boarded the Spirit of Tasmania, and relocated her life to Tasmania.

After arriving in Tasmania, the fog lifted and life for Jane improved; however, routine set in once again, and she began working but was still left wondering, "What am I doing here?" Jane had followed me for some time on social media, and it was at the time she was pondering those thoughts again that an email regarding my program arrived in her inbox. The email had an impact and asked, "What are you doing here? What is your purpose?" It was exactly what Jane wanted to know, so she signed up and jumped on board my program, not knowing what to expect!

Even for myself, as I listened to Jane's journey and experiences, I have to reiterate that there is power in sharing our stories, as well as beauty in being vulnerable enough to share them. That was something Jane did in the group. And it just really resonated with people, it was so powerful to witness.

Jane's last ten years have been difficult, with a divorce, hitting rock bottom twice, losing everything, getting it back again, alcohol issues, rehab, and depression. Followed by making the tough decision to leave behind her son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids in Brisbane and move to the southernmost part of the country. But these, as you will see, were stepping stones on her journey toward her soul's purpose.

Her breakthroughs were indeed powerful and involved two pivotal parts. The first is an exercise I take people through where we talk about your baggage. Imagine you are at an airport, and you have to pay for your excess baggage. How much is it costing you? Jane recalled her response: "I immediately went millions of dollars. You know, that's how much my excess baggage is going to cost."

We worked through this together, discovering where this was stemming from and using my method of talking about it, writing it out, reading it slowly, and breathing, and then everything lifted for Jane. "Gosh, once I got it out, it was like... everything lifted off my shoulders; that million dollars of baggage went down to like my seven-kilo carry-on; it was gone; it was amazing!"

The second part of Jane’s transformation was an exercise where we worked on discovering our treasures. I advised Jane not to overthink it; all of this will come to you.

And, you know, it did, it arrived with power and conviction.

"What I want to do—my vision, I'm going to save lives. And it was like that! There you go!" a true mic drop moment.

Jane allowed all the feelings, thoughts, and visions to flow. She hadn't necessarily joined the dots as yet, but it wasn't about joining the dots; it was about letting these dots flow.

"I am so confident that I'm going to be a success that there are no worries."

Jane is now in the process of changing her career and has enrolled in a course to obtain a certificate. She wants people to realise they don't have to endure the hardships she has, and she believes she can help them have the life she has now. Anything is possible!

Being an empath, Jane has always been someone others were attracted to and felt extremely comfortable in her presence. Her love for helping people has always been there, but the “how” was unknown.

“So I just want to bring this energy out there and inspire people. So my vision was, OK, I'll start big. I'm in business class. I'm flying around the world. And I'm talking at meetings — NA, AA, all of this. I'm your guest speaker.”

Jane intends to use her experiences and journey, as well as how she remains sober and content with her life, to inspire others who are in a similar situation to hers.

“Loving yourself is the key. I hated myself, hated myself, really did. And, you know, that was only 18 months ago. So it's like, hey, hang on a minute. I am worth something.”

“You've got to learn to like yourself, then the sky's the limit once you've done that.”

What I love about Jane's process is that when she sees a goalpost or a finish line, she goes for it. I've never seen anybody take so much wonderful action from their vision, but Jane took it a step further and even went as far as taking a little trip to Brisbane to purchase a specific outfit. Now you might be wondering why on earth someone would do that.

"Because, well, it was part of my vision that you took us through, and we were looking at our future selves."

In Jane's vision, she saw herself all dressed up in a white suit sitting on the edge of a table, "owning it," as she says.

“So I've got it hanging in the cupboard, ready for when someone says, can you come and speak?”

What I admire about that is that she felt the vision; she didn’t just see it; she felt it, and it felt right. It aligned with her. It aligned with her purpose. It aligned with her soul. And Jane needed that outfit because that's one more piece of the puzzle, and now Jane is co-creating her life with the universe.

Jane encourages everyone to never give up, do their research, find someone who can help them, and really dig deep within themselves.

Honestly, Jane’s energy is absolutely infectious, so if you haven't listened to the podcast, I highly recommend you do.
